Reading Challenge

Children up to 11 years are invited to join the 2020 Summer Reading Challenge. Certificates for all who complete it!

The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. The theme of this year's challenge is 'Silly Squad': a celebration of funny books, happiness and laughter. Challenge yourself to read as many books as you can (we recommend six), before the end of September 2020.

This year, with the disruption caused by Covid-19 and the impact of social distancing on schools and public libraries, you can sign up at the Summer Reading Challenge website to unlock digital rewards, activities, quizzes, games and videos as incentives for your reading - all for FREE.

Alternatively you can pick up a 'reading record' when you come to collect a book from a West Berkshire library by appointment. Fill in the details of the six books you have read and then return your completed reading record to us to get your certificate.

Let's get silly and have fun reading!
