We're seeking your views about Shaw House, the West Berkshire Museum and our heritage services

This consultation is now closed.

West Berkshire is a beautiful place with a fascinating history. The council provides a number of cultural and heritage services including public access to two important historic buildings, the West Berkshire Museum and Shaw House, as well as museum collections, advice and information on local history and archaeology, events and activities for children, families and residents and visitors of all ages.

We'd like to know how you use these services and how satisfied you are with them. Your feedback will help us to develop the services that you particularly value.

What you told us

In total, 64 responses were received to the survey.  The headline results can be found in the Survey Summary Report.

What we did

Our staff are very interested in customer feedback. The results of the survey have led us to review our marketing and make further improvements to our website, particularly in prioritising the key information customers find most useful, and in promoting the services we provide that are less visible to the public. For example, we have reviewed how we promote our service to help the public identify any archaeological finds and historical objects of potential interest.
