Report A Problem online this winter

As winter sets in, West Berkshire residents are encouraged to play their part and report issues with council-maintained equipment and spaces.

Whether it is wind, rain or ice, weather can occasionally cause issues ranging from damage to road surfaces, blocked drains or it could be that the darker evenings mean you notice a faulty street light. Residents are able to quickly and easily report these faults by using the online form found at Report a Problem.

The form is easy to complete and mobile-friendly so residents can even report problems from a tablet or smartphone.

Councillor Marcus Franks, West Berkshire Council's Executive Member for Community Resilience and Partnerships said: "Around this time of year we see an increase in the number of people reporting problems as the dark evenings and bad weather set in. Our website allows residents to quickly and easily complete many tasks and this includes reporting any problems they find with council-related property. In the past year we have dealt with more than 28,500 requests for services with the most popular being requests for new bins or recycling boxes. We want to support our communities to get these problems fixed quickly but in turn we hope our communities will help by reporting any problems in their neighbourhood. Our communities are in the best position to spot problems and I'd encourage residents to play their part and report any problems to us."
