East Ilsley Village - Introduction of 20mph Speed Limit REF 004815MS
Statutory Advertisement of a Traffic Regulation Order
This Order is proposed in the interests of road safety to provide a 20mph speed limit around the village centre of East Ilsley. This change was requested by the parish council to improve safety and enhance the village environment. To provide a buffer for the new speed limit, the 30mph speed limit on Fidlers Lane will be extended, as shown on the location plan, and there will also be a central traffic island at the entry to the 20pmh speed limit on Fidlers Lane.
This change was recommended by the councils Speed Limit Review Task Group at its meeting held in September 2015.
The Location Plan showing the proposed speed limit zones [170kb] and Draft Order [17kb] are available to view. There is also a previous Order to be revoked [135kb].
You can object to or comment on this proposal using the response form [43kb] and return it no later than 8 January 2017.
For further information on the scheme, please contact the Traffic and Road Safety Team before the 8 January 2017.
