Public Path Order: divert part of Welford public footpath 15

Proposal to divert part of the public footpath running in a north/north east direction across Easton Farm House, Welford

This consultation is now closed.

You can view the pdf icon Notice, Order and Order Plan [1Mb] for this Public Path Order.

The diversion will re-route the path from a route across the front garden and drive of Easton Farmhouse on to a new route that runs alongside a scenic watercourse and across a small copse to the west of the property, before heading east to the dismantled Lambourn Valley railway on a slightly adjusted line. The diversion will improve privacy and security for the landowners, whilst also providing the public with a pleasant path alongside a stretch of watercourse and small copse. The landowners have agreed to physically create the new route to the west of Easton Farmhouse.

If there are no objections then the order can be confirmed, but only after works to create the new route have been completed to the council's satisfaction. The part of the diversion north of Easton Farmhouse is already available for public use.

Please contact the Definitive Map Officer with any queries or requests for further information.
