West Berkshire Council

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs)

Details of seasonal opening hours, site restrictions and recycling facilities

From 4 July 2017, we will no longer recycle hard plastics (such as garden furniture) at our sites.

You can dispose of hard plastics in the Newtown Road Recycling Centre's bulky or general waste containers.

We have two recycling centres in West Berkshire, located in Newbury and Padworth.

Our centres now operate a Recycling Centre Permit Scheme
This means that only residents that display a permit will be allowed to take their waste to these centres.
Permits have been sent to all West Berks residents.

If you've lost yours, not received one, or have recently moved to the area, you can Apply for a Permit to Use Our Recycling Centres online.
