Street Lighting

Maintenance of streetlights, illuminated signs and bollards

You can report a problem with street lighting online.

Our Street Lighting Team aim to attend to all emergency works within one hour of them being reported.

Emergency works can include knocked-down equipment, missing lamp doors or exposed wiring.

Routine faults are generally addressed within five working days of being reported, but repairs may take longer - for instance where the underground connecting cable is not owned by the council.

Not all street lights in West Berkshire are the council's responsibility; some are provided and maintained by Parish Councils or Housing Associations and you'd need to contact these providers directly with issues, faults or concerns.
