Petroleum Storage Depot (PSD)

Monitoring the Petroleum Storage Depot in Padworth

The Petroleum Storage Depot (PSD) is located in West Berkshire near Padworth and Aldermaston. It is owned by Exolum Pipeline System Limited. It is an Upper Tier COMAH site because it contains a certain level of chemicals being stored or used. This means that a specific plan needs to be written in the event of a major accident to comply with the legal requirements set out in the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations 2015. The plan is held by West Berkshire Council's Emergency Planning Team and contains information on responding to, controlling of and recovery from an accident at this site.

Public Information Zone (PIZ)

PSD have produced an information leaflet and pdf icon emergency instruction card [137kb] for residents within the PIZ. If you have further queries, please contact the Emergency Planning Team.

You can view the PIZ on the map below.
