The Public Protection Community Fund is funded from assets seized from criminals as a result of their criminal activity.

Community groups, not-for-profit organisations and ward members in West Berkshire looking for funding to support crime prevention in their local community are invited to apply for grants of up to ¬£7,500 (per group).

Councillor Norman Jorgensen, Chairman of the Joint Public Protection Committee, says: "It is right that money recovered as a result of convictions for serious criminal activity is used in this way and we are looking forward to receiving a good number of applications."
