Local Restrictions Support Grant - all periods

Updated 23 February 2021

The Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) supports rate-paying businesses that have been forced to close due to national or local restrictions.

It is broken down into the following time periods:

  • 5 November - 1 December (National Lockdown)
  • 2 December - 18 December (Tier 2) - Only hospitality, accommodation and leisure businesses who were restricted or forced to close will receive a grant for this period.
  • 19 December - 4 January (Tier 4)
  • 5 January - 15 February (National Lockdown)
  • 16 February- 31 March (National Lockdown)

We have distributed nearly all payments up to 15 February to eligible businesses that have applied to us.

Payment for the new period from 16 February to 31 March will be made automatically to all businesses that have received the LRSG. There is no need to re-apply.

By accepting this new payment businesses are confirming that they are eligible for this grant scheme according to the conditions set out in the application form.

We will update this page when any new Government guidance is released around payments for periods of closure from 31 March onwards.

If you have not yet applied for the LRSG for any period then please fill out and submit an application form.

Backdated applications for the LRSG for periods of restrictions before 4 January 2021 will close on 31 March 2021. Any applications for backdated claims prior to 4 January that are submitted after 31 March will not be accepted.
