Environment Strategy Draft Delivery Plan Feedback Survey

Have your say

Last year we launched an ambitious pdf icon Environment Strategy [3Mb] which described the aspiration to become a carbon neutral district by 2030. The public were asked to be a part of the development of that strategy through an extensive formal consultation.

How the strategy has been developed

Following the consultation on the strategy, we've taken your feedback into consideration and created a comprehensive draft delivery plan, which incorporates the actions needed to deliver the Environment Strategy by 2030.

Why we want your views

Currently, the draft delivery plan sets out the actions that the council will be taking and we'd like your views on how important you think it is for the council to reduce its impact on the environment, if we're prioritising the right actions, or if you think there are other activities we should be doing.

We recognise that we can't do this alone. Over the coming months, we want to find out about the good work that communities across the district are doing, now and in the future.

We'd also like your views on how we can use our website to keep in touch with you. Not only to keep you updated on how well the actions are progressing, but on how residents, businesses and community groups can get involved in reducing emissions and achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 too.

The plan is currently available in two formats:

pdf icon Environment Strategy Draft Delivery Plan (PDF) [701kb]

excel icon Environment Strategy Draft Delivery Plan (Excel) [275kb]

The key actions have also been highlighted in the pdf icon summarised version of the plan [9Mb]

How to take part

If you'd like to comment on our draft delivery plan, please complete our survey by Monday, 26 April 2021. It should take approximately 10-15 minutes.

We're also holding a Facebook Live session with Cllr Steve Ardagh-Walter (Portfolio holder for Environment) and Jon Winstanley (Environment Service Director) at 5.30pm on Tuesday, 30 March 2021.

You'll have an opportunity to learn more about the work we've already started, as well as our aims and ambitions going forward. Please submit your questions beforehand by emailing us at PR@westberks.gov.uk by 3pm on Friday, 26 March 2021.

It will take place on our Facebook page.

What happens next

Your feedback will be used to further shape the delivery plan, which will be considered by elected members at an Executive Meeting in summer 2021 (date to be confirmed).
