Hungerford Common & Denford: 30mph Speed Limit
Statutory consultation to amend an existing traffic regulation order
This proposal was approved at the Speed Limit Review on 9th October 2019 and we would like your views on it. The proposed Order is necessary in the interests of road safety to lower the speed limit on Hungerford Common from 40mph to 30mph. The areas adjacent to the roads are used for grazing cattle and are unfenced and lower speeds will reduce the potential for collisions between motor vehicles and cattle. The existing order [106kb] will be revoked in its entirety for clarity and conciseness.
A plan of the proposal [463kb] is a available, along with a copy of the
consultation [376kb]. If objections are received they will be investigated and a report prepared for the Executive Member for Highways and Transport to consider what action to take under Individual Decision and whether to proceed with the proposal as advertised.
You can comment or object to the proposals by completing the comment form [235kb] and returning it to the Traffic and Road Safety Team by 18th February 2021.
