Draft Housing Strategy 2020 - 2036

Have your say on our draft Housing Strategy

Background

Housing is more than being just a roof over our heads; it is our home and is fundamental to us throughout our lives. West Berkshire Council's draft Housing Strategy is a key corporate strategy that details our future housing priorities for the district through to 2036, and is linked to our Council Strategy, pdf icon Environment Strategy 2020-2030 [2Mb] and Economic Development Strategy.

How did we develop our draft Housing Strategy?

The draft strategy reflects on our recent housing achievements, and also considers both the local and national housing contexts, to set out our twin priorities moving forward. It also includes a delivery plan that sets out how we intend to deliver on our draft priorities.

Why do we want your views?

We'd like to hear your views on our pdf icon draft Housing Strategy [5Mb], in particular our two priorities and associated delivery plan proposals.

The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and your feedback will be used to shape the final strategy, which will be considered by elected members at the Executive Meeting on 11 February 2021.

Following this, a summary of the responses and the amendments made will be posted on this page, and the final policy will be published on our Strategies, Policies and Plans webpage.

If you have any questions, please contact HousingStrategyConsultation@westberks.gov.uk

The survey is open until midnight on Sunday, 1 November 2020.
