Students congratulated on A Level results

A Level results published on Thursday 15 August

Students celebrating exam results

West Berkshire Council congratulates all the students who collected their A Level results yesterday (Thursday 15 August).

The wait for students at secondary schools across the district came to an end with the publication of results. With 2,478 A Level entries between them more than a fifth of results (22%) were either grade A* or A and 71% results were grade C or above.

Speaking on results day, Councillor Dominic Boeck, Executive Member for Children, Young People and Education said:

"Well done to all the students who have worked hard for these results over the past couple of years. Exams require some tremendous effort and I hope everyone received the grades they were expecting.

"We should also reflect on the invaluable support provided to our students by their family, carers, friends and the teaching community during what can be a busy and sometimes anxious time in their teenage years. I know how important this support is in giving our students confidence and helping them to achieve their full potential. I wish all the students well for the months ahead as they look to the future and all they have planned."
