West Berkshire Council Care Homes

Three care homes for older people managed by West Berkshire Council

We now have measures in place, as per government guidance, at each of the WBC-run care homes to protect residents and visitors and can facilitate safe visiting.

Further information for visitors is available in the pdf icon West Berkshire Council Care Home visitors protocol [87kb]

The three care homes managed by West Berkshire Council are:

All these care homes are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Please note that, with the exception of Birchwood Care Home, our homes are residential.  This means that we don't directly employ registered nurses, but we can arrange for community support (such as district nurses) that can come in to meet some medical needs.  Birchwood, as a registered nursing home, does employ registered nurses as part of the staff team.

We provide specialist support to people with dementia in Willows Edge and Birchwood. Notrees is ideal for those with a secondary diagnosis of early stage dementia.
