Emotional Health Academy: Multiagency Triage

For parents, guardians and professionals with concerns about a young person's emotional health

If you are a young person aged between 13 and 19 and need support with your emotional health, get in touch with us via our online form.

If your concerns are serious, urgent or complex in nature, please contact the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

We coordinate Multiagency Triage in West Berkshire and in partnership with public and voluntary sector services. Triage is our single point of entry for children and young people, aged 0 to 19, with emerging emotional health difficulties.
For parental, guardian and professional referrals to triage, please doc icon complete the referral form [392kb]

If you would like to discuss a potential referral, seek advice or enquire about suitable support services, please contact us.

What happens after a referral has been made?

When we receive a referral, we'll contact the referrer and/or parent for further information. If possible we'll signpost to appropriate services at this point. If not, the referral will be discussed by our triage panel. The panel is comprised of experienced professionals who meet each week to discuss a child or young person's needs, and decide which service could provide the right support. A review will be conducted with families and/or professionals after ten weeks to assess how successful the support has been.

Triage has supported over 1,000 children, young people and their families to access the right support in its first two years of operation.
