Draft Economic Development Strategy 2019-2036

Have your say on our draft strategy

This consultation is closed.

Background

Our Economic Development Strategy looks at how the council and its partners might meet the economic challenges we believe are likely to emerge in the coming years. pdf icon Our current strategy [1Mb] covered 2013 to 2018. pdf icon Our new draft strategy [10Mb] takes a longer term view of the districts needs and therefore covers the period 2019-2036. However, it will be reviewed every four years.

In developing the draft strategy we've considered the aspirations of our Health and Wellbeing Board's pdf icon West Berkshire Vision 2036 [16Mb], the six priorities for improvement in the pdf icon Council Strategy 2019-2023 [13Mb], the government's Industrial Strategy 2018 and the pdf icon Berkshire Local Industrial Strategy (BLIS) Framework Document for Consultation March 2019 [4Mb] of  the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

Why we want your views

We'd like to hear your views on our draft Economic Development Strategy, in particular our proposed priorities and their associated actions. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and your feedback will be used to shape the final strategy, which will be presented to elected Members at the Full Council meeting on 5 December 2019.

Following this meeting, a summary of the responses received will be posted on this page and the final strategy will be published on our economic development webpage
