Helping businesses re-open in line with government guidance

Business support graphic

It was announced by the government that some non-essential businesses, such as certain shops, would be allowed re-open on 15th June whilst continuing to comply with social distancing guidance.

The Government has created a checklist to help businesses ensure they can re-open safely.

We want to help our businesses to do this as safely as possible so have created some resources to download.

This poster pack has been created by our Graphics Team and has been designed to cover many of the messages businesses will want to give to their customers. It can be downloaded and printed free of charge here:

Our Public Protection Partnership has a great deal of up to date advice about how businesses can minimise risk to employees and customers at this time.

There is also information available on gov.uk about remaining safe at work.

We have issued an order to close parts of Newbury Town Centre to traffic temporarily in order to assist with queuing and safety for pedestrians and cyclists in the town centre. If you feel that similar measures might be necessary, please contact our Network Management Team so that we can consider whether this is possible.

Businesses who have not yet applied for grant funding through the Small Business Grants Fund can still find out if they are eligible and download an application form.

Fully-funded business support and advice continues to be provided through the Berkshire Growth Hub
