There are a number of measures that have been announced by government in the budget, and subsequently, to support businesses as they face significant disruption as a consequence of coronavirus. 

You can read about the measures the Government have put in place here.

Business Rates payments due to be deducted on the 1 April by direct debit will now not be  taken, regardless of industry. Revised accounts will be issued as soon as practicable once all the relevant reliefs and any other changes in circumstance have been taken into account.

If you wish to speak to someone regarding the £10,000 or £25,000 cash grant, the rates holiday, or if you have concerns about paying your Business Rates please email businessrates@westberks.gov.uk.

We have now had clarification on the eligibility criteria for business rate relief and grants and are in the process contacting businesses who qualify. We know who these businesses are from our records, so you don't need to contact us to initiate this.
