Will there be a Council Tax holiday?

Information about paying your Council Tax during the current coronavirus pandemic

For some people the changes being made will make it harder to pay bills.  We are able to help residents in the event of financial hardship with the following options:

  • We have received half a million pounds from the government to help residents during this pandemic. Taxpayers currently in receipt of Council Tax Reduction are able to claim an additional relief of up to £150 for the year.
  • Should any customers be struggling financially due to the coronavirus then please contact the Council Tax department on: counciltax@westberks.gov.uk who will be able to provide assistance and discuss deferring payment until June.
  • We are currently experiencing a very high volume of emails so please bear with us and we will respond as quickly as possible.
