West Berkshire Council

Absent Vote Signature Refresh

Refreshing the signatures held for postal or proxy votes

We hold specimen signatures and dates of birth for everyone in West Berkshire who has an absent vote, also known as a postal or proxy vote. These are supplied as part of the original application process and used for comparison when a voter completes their postal or proxy vote at election time.

We are required to obtain a new specimen signature approximately every five years, as signatures often change over time.

The refresh for 2020 is currently taking place. If you have been sent a form, please do not delay and return it to our agents, Civica Election Services in London, who process the applications for us. A pre-paid envelope is enclosed with the form.
