Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs)

Orders to control parking in council-run car parks and on roads in West Berkshire

The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 allows West Berkshire Council to create Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) within the district.

You can view all current parking restrictions in West Berkshire on an interactive map.

Alternatively you can download:

All of the council's car parks are covered by a TRO.
Please note that there's a separate TRO in place (19b) for the bus lane at the Parkway Bridge in Newbury.

About TROs

TROs allow us to place controls on parking in council-run car parks and on roads, setting conditions about parking.

These conditions might include:

  • a parking charge being applied
  • a permit being required
  • restrictions on how long a vehicle may park

The TROs may apply only in certain areas of car parks or roads, and/or on certain days and times.
