Clinical Household Waste

Our clinical waste collection service for use by people receiving medical treatment at home

It's important your clinical waste (which can include items such as bandages, dressings and other disposable medical items) is not put in your normal rubbish bin.
We offer a free collection service for clinical waste which is usually arranged by your GP, hospital, health visitor or district nurse.

  • We'll provide you with orange sacks to contain your clinical waste, and these will be collected every Wednesday. If a bank holiday falls on a Wednesday we will contact you to let you know alternative collection arrangements.
  • For needles or syringes (sharps) we'll provide you with a box to put them in. We'll collect this when it's full up.  Please contact Customer Services  who will arrange collection and delivery of a new box.
