Community and Day Centres

Providing care and support during the day for disabled, vulnerable and older people

Day services in West Berkshire are provided as day opportunities, usually via our resource centres.

Resource Centres

We have three resource centres in West Berkshire that aim to make sure a mix of individuals with different needs are located at each site.

Coronavirus update - All three of the resource centres are currently operating with a maximum of 15 service users per day as per Government guidance. Service users and staff who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV) cannot attend the centres.

You can read more about them here:

Our West Berkshire Directory also has details of day services.

Volunteering

Our resource centres are always looking for volunteers.
For some, volunteering can be a route to employment, or a chance to try something new which may lead to a career change. For others, volunteering appeals because of its social benefits - it's a chance to meet new people, make new friends, or just to socialise.

Volunteering makes a difference to the lives of others, makes you feel like a valuable part of a team, offers quality time away from work or a busy lifestyle and can help to gain confidence and self-esteem.

To get involved, please contact The Phoenix Resource Centre, The Hungerford Resource Centre or Greenfield House Resource Centre directly.
