A343 Andover Road 40mph revocation
Statutory consultation on the revocation of the 40mph speed limit order
This consultation is closed
This proposal was approved at the Speed Limit Review on 9 October 2019 and we would like your views on it. This order is necessary in the interests of road safety to reduce the speed of traffic on the southern section of the A343. The Order will form a consistent method of speed management along the main road through Wash Common. By revoking (part of) the current 40mph speed limit [38kb] the legal speed limit will default to 30mph by virtue of existing street lighting.
A plan of the proposal [678kb] is a available, along with a copy of the
consultation [288kb]. If objections are received they will be investigated and a report prepared for the Executive Member for Highways and Transport to consider what action to take under Individual Decision and whether to proceed with the proposal as advertised.
You can comment or object to the proposals by completing the comment form [235kb] and returning it to the Traffic and Road Safety Team by 18 February 2021.
