Compton COVID-19 Voluntary Group currently has 95 households on their volunteer list and 68 households signed up to them because they are self-isolating or shielded. The support they provide includes transport to medical appointments, medicine deliveries and making scrubs for the NHS, providing home cooked meals, delivering food parcels, and much more!

They have extended their support to include anyone that needs help such as single parents, someone struggling with home schooling and even people who need one off support.

The village of Compton has really come together during this difficult time and have also put their crafting skills to good use. Examples of crafts including homemade bunting, colourful 'tinsects', painted and even crocheted rainbows can be seen in windows, on the sides of buildings, and in public spaces! And look out for the Compton water monster made from recycled tyres!

Compton even baked, iced and 100 decorated small fruit cakes using baked bean tins to give to all of their 'At Homers' for their 'VE Day Stay at Home Street Party' - We are really looking forward to seeing the photopraphs!
