Licensing the storage of petroleum (Petrol Storage Certificates)

The Petroleum (Consolidation) Regulations 2014 introduced a change in the way that petroleum storage was licensed.

The regulations now require that anyone proposing to store petrol holds a Petroleum Storage Certificate (PSC).

West Berkshire Council is the Petroleum Enforcement Authority for West Berkshire and Wokingham.

How to apply for a Petroleum Storage Certificate (PSC)

To apply for a Petroleum Storage Certificate, contact our Trading Standards team.

We'll make an inspection of your premises before granting a PSC to make sure they're suitable.  We'll also assign a risk rating which will affect how often we return for further inspections.
