Traded Service for Schools

Could the EHA help children and young people at your school?

The EHA is funded by schools, West Berkshire Council, and other agencies including Clinical Commissioning Groups and Public Health and Wellbeing.

The EHA's immediate impact would not have been possible without investment from our local schools.

Schools continue to play a large part in the EHA's approach to supporting the children and young people in West Berkshire with emotional difficulties. We offer a range of flexible buy-in options that allow schools to cater for the needs of the children and young people. These include set annual packages, bespoke services, and packages that school clusters can buy into together.

Our Emotional Health Workers deliver a range of individual, group and classroom interventions, as well as working holistically with the family when appropriate. They are also able to provide consultation and training to schools in enhancing emotional health support to their pupils.

Pupils from Little Heath School recently took part in the Stronger You Programme, where they participated in group activities and discussions, pair work and individual reflection to explore different topics. The Dealing with Difficulties Programme

The Dealing with Difficulties group intervention provides support, information and practical help to young people aged 11 to 16, who are experiencing emergent to mild emotional health difficulties. These include anger, low mood, anxiety, body image difficulties, low confidence, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. This intervention aims to create a safe space for individuals to explore important topics through group discussion, pair work, group activities and individual reflection.
