What Can I Borrow?

Borrow books, DVDs, maps, music, magazines and more

With your library card you can borrow the following for free:

  • 15 books
  • 15 audiobooks
  • six magazines
  • seven e-books or e-audiobooks from our e-library

In addition, you can hire:

  • six DVDs

Please see our library fees and charges for details. 

You can also download unlimited e-magazines and hire performance sets of music scores and plays and sets of books for your own book group. Please contact Newbury Library for further details about borrowing sets.

Loan periods vary - please check when an item is due to be returned when you borrow it. 
You can usually extend your library loans, provided nobody else is waiting for them. 

If the item you want is currently unavailable, it may be possible to reserve it. Please check our library catalogue or ask staff for help.
