Leaving Care Team

The Leaving Care Team work with young people aged between 16 years and 21 years (24 years in some cases depending on certain criteria).

We put arrangements in place for all care leavers, listening to what they want for their future and helping them each step of the way - practically, financially and emotionally - to become independent adults who are in control of their own lives.

You can find out more about the about Leaving Care Criteria and what support is offered to help you achieve a your potential, in our pdf icon Care Leavers Booklet 2018 [256kb]

We want to help all young people who have lived in care in West Berkshire to make a smooth and successful start to their adult lives. See our commitment to care leavers in our Care Leaver's Charter.

West Berkshire's Children in Care Council (CiCC) exists to provide Care Leaver's with the voice they need to be heard.

MOMO is the app we use to communicate with our children and young people, in preparation for their reviews, meetings and in general around sharing news, compliments or complaints. Find out more about MOMO.
